Poemz Pwnz

Well, another update on me. My head is fine... Scratch that, it's no longer injured. And, it's time for poetry corner!!! I've got a bunch of poetry to post here. Note that all of my poems are meant for a serious tone, and I won't post all of them up yet, you'll get more as time passes.

Title: All Days Considered
By: Inukai
Genre: Other
Rating: G
Notes:-This won't be my best poem, mostly because it's being written at 2AM with no pre-thought so light critiquing please.
-Yes, I know it doesn't rhyme, it's a free-verse poem

All Days Are Considered
All days are considered
Leaving not one out
All the pain, all the joy
All there in my mind
Every day swims through
Every moment remembered
All the highs
All the lows
And all the middle moments too
All days considered
Life was OK at best
Nothing great
Nothing bad
Unfinished dreams
Things already done
Things yet to do
All days considered
I have a lot left to do
I won't give up
I will not stop
Until
All my days are considered

Title: Fear From Above
By: Inukai
Genre: Other
Rating: PG-13
Notes:
-Yet another Free-Verse
-This is written because of the Aerial gunnings going on in Alaska against the Wolves.

Fear From Above

Snow crunching through my claws
My breath steams in front of me
Fear drives me on
Something in the sky
Noisy, and full of stench
A loud sound comes from it
Snow leaps around me
I am being pulled by fear
For days it has been
Running, never stopping
Nowhere to hide
Nowhere to run
The stench of death fills my nose
More explosions
More leaping snow
My brother beside me loses pace
He falls, deep in the snow
Unable to continue
My brother, Beta to the pack
Tears well up
Can't stop running
Not for a second
Never stop running
At the end of the Earth
Continue to run
Exhausted
Throat is dry
The frozen air
Stinging eyes
Nose, ear, and paws
Can't stop
I'm at my limit
I can't go on
Muscles fail
I trip on a stone
I lay in the snow
I feel the cold
Breath comes in short gasps
With my last strength
I look up at the beast
Flying through the air
Bringing only Death
It sees me
I close my eyes
And hear the explosions
One last time
Title: The Road I Walk
By: Inukai
Genre: Life
Rating: PG-13
Notes:
- This poem basically reflects how my choices have determined who I am, and I was feeling lonely
- Free-Verse
- Wrote 02/08/06(Don't ask how I remembered)
The Road I Walk
The road I walk
I walk alone
I have no one else
I have no home
No one cares
What happens to me
The road I walk
I walk alone
The shadows are
My only friends
That's all I need
That's all I want
The road I walk
I walk alone
No one follows
No one cares
I walk alone
A split ahead
Two ways to go
One way to humans
Powerful, but vain
The other to the wolves
Loyal, but powerless
What road do I take
What path do I choose
Down one way
The path to humanity
I see skyscrapers
And buildings
Built on stolen ground
I fill with rage
I look down the other way
The path to the wolves
I see only Death
Brought unprovoked
By neighbors
Old friends
Anger grows
Bound up inside
Yet I show no pain
No one to show it to
For, I walk alone
Both paths end
In pain and Death
Or betrayal and vanity
Both paths well trodden
Yet not one for me
I walk alone
Which path do I take?
Left or right
Neither one is for me
I continue on
Making my own path
Not wolven, nor human
But right in between
The path I made
The path is me
I walk it alone
Title: Questions From A Wolf
By: Inukai
Genre: Life
Rating: PG
Notes:
- This poem is pretty much all of the questions I've asked myself over the years.
- Free-Verse
Questions From A Wolf
Why do you cry for us?
Your kind never did
Why do you want?
That's what got us into this mess
Why do you waste?
It's just stupid
Why do you hate?
Not even us hate your kind
Why do you burn?
It does more harm than good
Why do you kill?
Are you that hungry always?
Why do you laugh?
Can't you hear us die?
What are you?
A human, trapped with a wolf
Or the other way around?
Title: Darkness
By: Inukai
Genre: Other
Rating: PG
Notes:
- I made this poem because I was sick of people grouping evil with darkness.
- Free-Verse
Darkness
Most think it's evil
Symbolizing death and despair
Those are the ones who live in fear
For with darkness comes light
And with light, darkness
Darkness will follow
Everywhere you go
No matter where you go
I cherish the darkness
Embracing it tight
There is strength in darkness
As there is light
Title: The Nightmare
By: Inukai
Genre: Nature
Rating: PG-13
Notes:
- A poem that shows where the world can go to if similar patterns reside.
- Every other line rhymes (Forgot what it was called)
The Nightmare
Why can't I wake up?
I find myself asking
If it's all just a dream
It's sure everlasting
To some it's a nightmare
To others a wish
Though from my point of view
It's only in anguish
I'm trapped in a room
No one else in sight
Just a wall
With holes and light
Into the holes I peer
Unable to cease
The destruction and chaos
And no sign of peace
Not a wolf to be seen
Heard, smelt or felt
The deer herds overgrown
Many died, to young to be pelts
With no one to control
The numbers continue to run
The vegetation is gone
Because the humans wanted some fun
But no one's complaining
Celebrating instead
Over their victory
Now that all the wolves are dead
Every last human
From the big to the small
Is throwing a party
For they slaughtered them all
The killers revered
Their families toasted
Unknown evil upcoming
As they cheered and boasted
The balance was torn
And now coming near
The doom of the Earth
That's what I fear
Then I woke up
In my bed with a start
Was it all just a dream?
Hand over speeding heart
If it was all just a dream
It was surely realistic
But, maybe a vision
Of something futuristic
I hope not, I sighed
As I lay down again
To frightened to sleep
For what if when
The Earth is in turmoil
No one left to protect them
They fight their last fight
As they are elected
To be the ones to go
The long war ended
The last rifle shot heard
Into wound, unmended
A short burst of pain
Which suddenly ceased
As the last one fell limp
And finally found peace
I hope this won't happen
But I fear it's unevadable
For today the war rages
But my bond still unbreakable
With every wolf, I share a bond
And I swear they will be protected
If not by me then by others
Our love for them always erected
Outside my window a howl is heard
And when she was done
The rest of the pack cried back
So a safe journey, met the lost one
A few minutes later
The whole pack is heard
In great jubilation
That all are safe and returned
As the sound reaches my ears
I'm no longer afraid
I lay back down in bed
And soon drift away
Title: I Believe
By: Inukai
Genre: Nature
Rating: PG
Notes:
- This is the first long poem I wrote.
- Couplet Rhyme
I Believe
As I stare upon the midnight deep
I try my best not to weep
I tell my self I shouldn't cry
But I can't keep from asking why
Why do they want to hurt us just for trying to be
Why can't we go on just being free
Why do they torment us day and night
Why are we forced to move and take flight
Is there someone there that can help us through
I think there is, do you
I think there is someone out there far away
Past the mountains and ground of red clay
There is a human that for us weeps
Every night before he sleeps
With eyes and hair of brown
The only one who enjoys our sound
Not a child and not yet a man
But in between in a foreign land
With hair all askew
Others like him there is few
Very loyal and kind
With a subtle, down to earth mind
I believe that he will
Make the humans stop the wolf kill
And bring piece back between us and man
Then maybe we will be given back some old land
Though the boy and I, I feel
Have something there, something surreal
A bond that will never be torn
Shattered, broken, shredded or worn
I hope that he will be here someday
To take the pain and suffering away
But until that day I can only hope
All of us aren't shrouded in Death's icy cloak
We must be alert, healthy and fast
To make sure this day isn't our last
For we are the wolf, proud and true
Loving and caring, but also few
Title: Becoming a Lone Wolf
By: Inukai
Genre: Dark
Rating: PG-13
Notes:
- Yet another poem from the depression period in my life.
- Free-Verse
Becoming A Lone Wolf
To turn your back
On everything
Everyone
You’ve ever known
To be forced out
Of the only home
You’ve ever known
All your brothers
Sisters
And family
Gone forever
You may never return
Title: Depression
By: Inukai
Genre: Dark
Rating: PG-13
Notes:
- A poem I wrote while I was feeling really, depressed about my life
- Free-Verse
Depression
Depression…
What is it?
Controlling
Enraging
Chaotic
Uncaring
It saps your joy
I just want to be left alone
Everyone to stop annoying me
I just want to leave
To go somewhere alone
So I can calm myself
But nowhere I can be alone
Everywhere
Someone follows
I can’t get away
Everyone is following
I just want to be left
Alone
